About Romania - HostelsAlthough Romania doesn't have an extensive network of youth hostels, there are now a reasonable number of places dotted around the country. Aside from half adozen in Bucharest, most places are confined to the larger cities or more tourist-oriented towns such as Sighisoara with prices starting £10/€13 for a dorm bed, also coming with a basic breakfast. Whilst student accommodation is largely in short supply, you may find the odd student residence willing to let out a bed, though these are likely to be available only in July and August - however, these are unlikely to be advertised, so ask for details at the local tourist office or town agency.
